Robert L Honn: 1935 - 2009

Robert L Honn: 1935 - 2009

Former Topangan Robert “Drywall Bob” Honn died on May 30 pictured with his wife Lynnea. The couple met in Topanga during the 1970s.

Robert L. Honn, AKA “Drywall Bob,” passed away quietly at his home in Sutter Creek, May 30, 2009, in the loving presence of two of his four sons. Some may remember Bob from the 1970s. His Topanga years were pivotal years, where he made many friends, met his wife, Lynnea Paxton, and formulated his dreams. In 1979 he began the fulfillment of his dreams, moving to 60 acres in Sutter Creek where he eventually built his own home from the ground up. He enjoyed hunting, harvesting and cooking wild mushrooms. In later years he took his 1966 Valiant to local car shows and spent much time building model airplanes from scratch.

He is preceded in death by his good friends Ellen Mills and Danny Kelly. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Lynnea Paxton Honn, his two sons Chris and Tim Honn, his two stepsons Trevor and Dylan Paxton, and six grandchildren. He was a fourth-generation Californian born April 13, 1935. We honor his life.  Words of friendship or sympathy can be emailed to goosehollow@suttercreek.com or mailed to Lynnea Honn, 14055 Quartz Mtn Rd E., Sutter Creek, CA 95685.
