Topanga local, William Preston Bowling, left, with Olga M. Dominguez and Allen Elliott of NASA, continues efforts to ensure a proper cleanup of the Santa Susana Field Laboratory, a Nuclear and Rocket Research site located just above the Malibu Creek Watershed (NASA co-owns the facility with Boeing). Bowlings non-profit (www.ACMELA.org) is featured in the new NASA newsletter, ]FieldNOTES. Bowling answered the call to name the newsletter and his play on words was the winning title. I think it is great that the responsible parties are making their efforts public. In the past, information about the cleanup was hard to come by. The newsletter can be seen at http://ssfl.msfc.nasa.gov/documents/local/fieldnotes_201104.pdf.
