A capacity crowd filled the ball field and surrounding parking lot of the Topanga Community Club when the legendary Julian Marley and The Uprising headlined the 5th Annual Reggae ‘Pon the Mountain on Saturday, August 16.

According to concert promoter Label 27, online ticket sales easily tripled last year’s sales and that didn’t include the huge walk-in crowd! The young concert promoters were also pleased to announce that Grammy®-winning Black Uhuru, Roots Man Earl Zero and Onechot from Argentina (who hit the stage with Quinto Sol) also rocked the outdoor stage.

Headliner Julian “Ju Ju”Marley, a stellar musician in his own right, delivered a long inspired set that would have made his dad proud, even in the tremendous heat of mid-August.

Reggae ‘Pon the Mountain featured food and craft vendors as well as a beer and wine garden. This year the fest also offered VIP tickets which included access to a premium shaded viewing area with an open bar!
