Topanga Docents Fall Training in State Park Starts Soon!
August 28, 2014 -
The Topanga Canyon Docents (TCD) are volunteer naturalists at Topanga State Park. Each year they offer an extraordinary educational program to introduce new docents to their program.
Lectures by highly respected professionals in the field of natural science are held at the historic Skeet Lodge turned Nature Center at Trippet Ranch, Topanga State Park, on alternate Saturdays between Sept. 13 and Dec. 6.
Respected naturalists from National Park Service, local colleges, museums, and conservation-based institutions will make presentations every other Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Five docent-led interpretive walks are offered on alternate Sunday mornings. Benefits include outings, workshops, volunteer opportunities and continuing education at our weekend-long field ecology event at Malibu Creek State Park group campground. Lovers of the outdoors, please join us. Reasonable fees.
