September Events at Topanga Library

 

Wednesdays and Fridays 10:15 a.m.—Toddler Storytime. Joins us for stories, songs, fingerplays and more! Playtime immediately follows storytime.

Saturday, September 13 at 11 a.m.—Russian Literature Group. Join our welcoming group as we explore Russia's long and fascinating literary culture. Open to adults. This month's readings are the play Uncle Vanya and short stories, "Gooseberries" and "Lady with the Dog," by Anton Chekhov.

Monday, September 15 at 4 p.m.—Block Party. Join us for a monthly block building party! Each month will feature a new theme to inspire our builders. Ages 1-12. Sponsored by the Friends of the Topanga Library.

Tuesday, September 16 at 7 p.m.—Book Club. We will be discussing “A Tale for the Time Being” by Ruth Ozeki. Visit the L­ibrary to pick up a copy of the book before we meet. All adults welcome.

Thursday, September 18 at 6:30 p.m.—WordPress Meetup. All levels of users are invited to attend our monthly meetings to share, collaborate and discuss all things WordPress blogging.

Saturday, September 20 at 2 p.m.—Healing Through Hypnosis. Cher Bodner, C.Ht. will present on hypnosis, guided imagery and how the subconscious takes over your conscious mind every time you try to break a bad habit, fear or phobia. She will also discuss the relationship of stress, sleep and pain, and the way hypnosis and guided imagery can assist in subduing this vicious cycle.
