"Happy Together Tour 2014," July 16

 

Riverside, CA—The renowned “Happy Together Tour 2014” will come to the Fox Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, July 16, at 7:30 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.).

Following overwhelming response and enduring love for the music, the 30th anniversary tour celebrates the biggest hits and classic favorites of the 1960s and 1970s.

The “Happy Together Tour” began in 1984 with mainstays The Turtles, an American rock band led by vocalists Howard Kaylan and Mark Volman, later known as Flo & Eddie. The band is notable for several Top 40 hits including the cover version of Bob Dylan's “It Ain't Me Babe” in 1965. They scored their biggest and best-known hit in 1967 with "Happy Together.”

Fans will also hear classics from Chuck Negron, formerly of Three Dog Night, Mark Farner, formerly of Grand Funk Railroad, Gary Lewis & The Playboys, and Mitch Ryder & The Detroit Wheels. Numerous hits are on the setlist including: “We’re an American Band,” “Some Kind of Wonderful,” “Devil with A Blue Dress,” “Good Golly Miss Molly,” “Mama Told Me Not To Come,” “Joy To The World,” “This Diamond Ring,” and many more.
