Library Events—Vacation Fun and Adventure for Kids

When school lets out and kids are looking for vacation fun and adventure, they can join the Topanga Library's summer reading program, “Paws to Read!” and check out the summer reading activities at their County Library.

This summer, from June through July, in addition to a variety of events and activities, the Topanga Library will host a Youth Animal Art Show, allowing youth (ages 4-18) to create and submit a piece of animal-related art to be displayed in the Library’s Community Meeting Room at the end of the summer.

Participating youth may submit any form of art (drawing, photograph, etc.) as long as it is of an animal (real or imaginary) during the acceptance period of Tuesday, June 10– Saturday, July 19. Subject to librarian review, all pieces of art submitted to the Library will be on display beginning with an art reception on Wednesday, July 30, 2 p.m. The display ends on Saturday, August 2.

For more information about the Youth Animal Art Show at the Topanga Library, including submission forms, call or visit the Topanga Library or check our website; www.colapublib.org. The Topanga Library is located at 122 N. Topanga Canyon Blvd., Topanga, CA 90290; (310) 455-3480.
