February Topanga Library Events


Wednesdays & Fridays at 10:15 a.m.—Toddler Storytime. Join us for stories, songs, rhymes, fingerplays and more!

 Wednesday, February 12 at 5 p.m.—Chinese Calligraphy for Teens. Learn the basics of Chinese characters and how to write them using ink brushes! All materials will be provided. Ages 10-18.

Thursday, February 13 at 3:30 p.m.—Valentine’s Day Art Activity. Join us for a heartfelt art activity just in time for Valentine's Day! Ages 3 -12.

Tuesday, February 18 at 7 p.m.—Book Club. Join us for a lively discussion of “The Portrait of a Lady” by Henry James. Visit the library to pick up a copy of the book before we meet. All adults welcome.

Thursday, February 20 at 4 p.m.—Kids Book Club. Join us as we discuss “The Center of Everything” by Linda Urban, have a snack and create some art! Ages 9-12. Parents: Refreshments will be provided. A list of ingredients will be available at the program.

Thursday, February 20 at 6:30 p.m.—WordPress Meetup. All levels of users are invited to attend our monthly meetings to share, collaborate and discuss all things WordPress blogging.

Saturday, February 22 at 10 a.m.—Topanga Animal Rescue. Join us for an informative presentation on the animals in the canyon, our pets, and how to help animals in an emergency. Led by Susan Clark of Topanga Animal Rescue. Open to all ages.

Saturday, February 22 at 3:30 p.m.—Teen Book Club. We will be discussing the graphic novel, "Battling Boy," by Paul Pope. Copies of the book will be available for checkout at the library. Ages 13-18.

 Tuesday, February 25 at 4 p.m.—Celtic Adventures. Join storyteller Rebecca Martin as she leads us on a magical journey through the Highlands of Scotland and the hills of Ireland. This Celtic Adventure includes giants, fairies, brave heroes and more! Ages 5 and up. n
