A Night for the Buffalo Fundraiser at Froggys, Oct. 13
October 3, 2013 -
The Buffalo Field Campaign (BFC) is the only group working in the field, every day, to stop the slaughter and harassment of Yellowstones last continuously wild buffalo herd.
Yellowstone has the only genetically-pure, truly wild buffalo herd that still exists. These are the ancestors to the great herds that once roamed North America. This is a connection to the past that cannot be replaced. The buffalo are blocked from being able to live natural lives. They encounter severe harassment when they migrate to and from Yellowstone National Park, their natural migration path.
As part of BFCs yearly road show along the West Coast, the evening will feature The Story of the Buffalo, HummingBird Drum, a report from Mike Mease, co-founder of Buffalo Field Campaign, with music by Goodshield Aguilar and Mignon Geli and Grace Gravity.
A donation is requested, and while food and drink are not included, Froggys will donate 50 percent of sales of food and drink specials to the Buffalo Field Campaign.
