NPS Native Plants Meeting Aug. 27

THOUSAND OAKS, CAThe National Park Service (NPS) is preparing a joint environmental assessment (EA) for an invasive plant management plan for Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area (SMMNRA) and Redwood National Park.
NPS invites the public to attend one of two public scoping meetings for the EA. At these meetings, the plan's applicability to SMMNRA will be emphasized. NPS staff will brief attendees on the projects purpose, needs, objectives and preliminary alternatives, as well as answer questions. They will also solicit input from the public on issues and concerns about the EAs analysis of environmental consequences.
The first meeting will be on Tuesday, Aug. 27 at 6:30 p.m. at 403 Hillcrest Dr. in Thousand Oaks. The second and final meeting will be Wednesday, Aug. 28 at 6:30 p.m. at Temescal Gateway Parks Woodland Hall at 15601 Sunset Blvd in the Pacific Palisades.
