Thank You to Sages, Volunteers

Dear Sages and Volunteers:

Thank you for sending me an invitation to the Christmas dinner. It was absolutely wonderful. The food was delicious and the entertainment most enjoyable. I had a great time meeting new Topangans and seeing old friends. It felt like I was “home for the holidays.”

I’m having an operation Feb. 6 on my left shoulder. It will be a long recovery.

As soon as I can drive, shop and cook, I intend to rent a guest house and come home to my Topanga!

In the meantime, thank you [to] the Messenger staff for keeping me informed on what’s going on in Topanga. Sometimes, by the time I get the paper, the events I would have liked to attend are over, but I still enjoy keeping connected.

It was a sad day when escrow closed [on my house] and I had to say “goodbye” to the home and place I called home for over 30 years and to the wonderful friends, neighbors and acquaintances I had the pleasure of knowing. It felt like I had an extended family. I hope everyone had a terrific holiday and I wish you all a most happy and healthy 2013 and beyond.
