Susie Glaze & The HiLonesome Band, Dec. 15
Susie Glaze & The Hilonesome Band will play at the Santa Monica History Museum, Dec. 15, 8 p.m.
Touted as the best in lush newgrass Americana folk roots fusion, its gorgeous eclectic blends of mountain folk and exciting new bluegrass and Celtic-inspired originals all come together with the remarkable voice of Susie Glaze.
The band was winner of the Just Plain Folks 2006 Music Award for Best Roots Album, and FolkWorks Magazines Pick for Best Bluegrass Album of 2005 for the bands debut album, Blue Eyed Darlin.
Glaze has appeared at the Hollywood Bowl, Skirball Cultural Center and California Traditional Music Society, among many others. The bands most recent recording, Live at the Freight & Salvage, was released in 2011 with guest banjo virtuoso Bill Evans. Their newest studio album, White Swan, will be released in early 2013.
