CPUC Meeting on Smart Meters Opt Out Fees, Dec. 17
December 13, 2012 -
On Monday, Dec. 17, at 6 p.m., the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) will be holding a one-time public hearing on opt out fees for smart meters.
According to activist Elizabeth Barris, who is campaigning against smart meter installations and opt-out fees, this will be the only opportunity for concerned citizens to speak out to agency officials and defend the public's interest against installation of smart meters and the opt-out fee penalty. Right now, Edison is proposing to raise the opt out fees.
The meeting will be held in the Junipero Serra State Office Bldg., Carmel RoomAuditorium, 1st floor, 320 West Fourth Street, Los Angeles, CA 90013.
Barris will arrange carpools for those planning to attend. Contact her at: (310) 455-7530; email@example.com.
