Topanga Tim’s Safety Tips: Party Parking Problems

 

Ah, the holidays. ‘Tis the season to party with friends and family. That means extra cars navigating our narrow, treacherous Topanga roads and all sorts of creative and dangerous parking maneuvers. It’s bad enough if you can’t get into your own driveway because someone left their SUV in a space only big enough for SRO. But did you know that a fire engine needs at least 15 feet of clearance to pass by? Poorly parked cars could prevent firefighters from reaching a fire or medical emergency. Encourage carpooling for your next party, and tell your guests to look around when they get out of their car and make sure they are in a safe spot before they prance off towards the holiday lights.
