Elisabeth Howard is Crowned 2012 Ms. Senior America

Topanga resident Elisabeth Howard was crowned Ms. Senior America at Harrah’s Resort Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, NJ. She represented California as Ms. Senior California and competed against 34 contestants from around the United States. For her talent portion, Howard sang “Sempre Libera” from “La Traviata.” As 2012 Ms. Senior America, Howard will travel around the country representing American women 60 and older who have reached the “Age of Elegance.” The Ms. Senior America Pageant is a search for the gracious lady who best exemplifies the dignity, maturity and inner beauty of all senior Americans.

Ms. Howard is a graduate of the Juilliard School with a B.S. and M.S. in voice; is on the vocal faculty of Pepperdine University; and the founder and director of the highly respected Vocal Power Academy in Los Angeles, established in 1980. Ms. Howard has performed and taught all over the world and has presented workshops and master classes in eleven countries and thirty-six cities.
