The Nature of Wildworks Seeks Volunteers
At Wildworks, there is a skeleton crew that helps things function smoothly, but the sanctuary is in need of more of these fabulous kinds of people who are willing to volunteer their time to assist in the care and maintenance of the animals at the facility.
If you are interested in exploring the world of animals, aiding in a good cause, and having an overall great time, volunteering at The Nature of Wildworks has many benefits.
Learning about the animal world and how it functions
Discovering new hobbies
A sense of accomplishment
Meeting new and diverse people with similar interests
And of course... that "warm" and "fuzzy" feeling of being close to animals and knowing you're doing something good for them!
To volunteer, you must be 18 years or older. Visit the website, natureofwildworks.org, for the Volunteer Application Form, complete it and send it to: The Nature of Wildworks, P.O. Box 109, Topanga, CA 90290.
Upon receipt, Kirstyn Teran, Animal Care Supervisor and Volunteer Coordinator, will contact you through e-mail with a date for an orientation, where you will tour the facility. There is a one-time fee of $35.
Volunteers are required to volunteer for a minimum of 12 hours a month by committing to a specific day to come in.
