Mental Illness Alliance’s Annual Walk, Oct. 6 in Santa Monica

On the morning of Saturday, Oct. 6, the Los Angeles County National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) will hold its giant annual charity walk at the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica.

If you are interested in supporting NAMI’s efforts to improve the lives of families and individuals living with acute mental illnesses, please help us in our biggest fundraiser of the year. We support NAMI’s Los Angeles County Walk to:

• Raise our voices to promote greater understanding of mental health problems.

• Promote justice, equality, and parity for the treatment of mental illness.

• Promote research and find cures for mental illnesses.

• Help save lives and support individuals with mental illnesses in their struggles.

• Promote awareness that treatment works and recovery is real, and connect the mentally ill and their families with treatment resources.

• Support free mental health programs for the mentally ill and their families.

To register as a walker, sponsor another walker, join an existing team, start your own team, make a donation, or learn more about the Walk, visit NAMI San Fernando Valley www.namisfv.org.
