LA County Library Centennial Celebrations, Sept. 8

On September 5, 1912, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles voted to create the Los Angeles County Free Library. The public is invited to celebrate this rich history of service to the residents of Los Angeles County.
HELP US CELEBRATE!
Join the County-wide celebration on September 8 at every County Library. Refreshments will be served!
Libraries in the 3rd Supervisorial District are planning the following celebrations:
Agoura Hills Living Legend performer Suzan Gallerito performs as Louisa May Alcott, author of Little Women. Light refreshments in the fireplace room throughout the day.
Malibu BINGO for kids at noon with party favors followed by cake and a screening of the Music Man (set in 1912) starts at 2 p.m.
San Fernando Art activities for all ages. Time capsule art for children, and dollar bill origami for teens and adults. Birthday cake and birthday party bags.
Topanga Cupcake decorating. They also have a Centennial display in one of the outside display cases.
West Hollywood Art of Storymaking for the 21st Century 9 a.m.-noon sponsored by the Friends.
Westlake Village 2 p.m. Birthday Party with games like trivia and bingo, and a book-shaped cake and other refreshments.
