Elisabeth Howard to Compete for of Ms. Senior California Title

 

Topanga’s songstress and vocal coach, Elisabeth Howard, will compete for the second time in the finals of the California Senior America Pageant on Saturday, August 25.

She is one of twelve contestants from all over California competing for the title of Ms. Senior California 2012, at the Rose Center Theater in Westminster, CA. The women will be competing in categories of Interview, Evening Gown, and Talent, as well as reciting their philosophy of life.

"When we reach the Age of Elegance, some people say it's time to slow down," says Howard, "but I say I've got a lot of livin' to do! I count my blessings every single day and in times of trouble I always look for that silver lining. I believe in helping people find their passion, be the best we can be, live our dream and let it shine! As the Cy Coleman song says, 'The Best is Yet to Come!'"

This year’s theme is “Ladies, Take a Bow” in a pageant for women who have reached the “age of elegance” – 60 years and up. Each contestant competing in this year’s pageant either won a city title or was First Runner-up in preliminary pageants that were held around the State. The Pageant seeks to elevate elegant senior women and allow them to get the recognition they deserve.

The winner of Ms. Senior California, will go, all expenses paid, to compete in the October 2012 Ms. Senior America Pageant held in Atlantic City, NJ.

Tickets to the pageant are $15 each and can be purchased online at rosecentertheater.com and clicking on “tickets.” The theater is located at 14140 All American Way
Westminster, CA 92683, and the pageant begins at 2 p.m.

Since 1972, the Ms. Senior America event – as well as all state chapters – has held to the philosophy that seniors are the foundation of America and should be considered its most valuable treasure.
