Momentum Place: Airs Above the Ground

Another Mothers Day means another Momentum Place with Lexi Pearl (above) leading the way on May 13 celebrating Moms with airs above and on the ground at the Theatricum Botanicum. Along with the aerialists Jacquelyn Shaw, Sita Acevedo, Rachel Bowman working aloft in a hoop, and the amazing aerial talents of 11-year-old Madeline Lampard, were Sarah Moser in the Cyr Wheel and acrobat Elizabeth Carpenter. Eric Newton, the lone male in the group, tangled splendidly with a suspended rope, performing breath-catching drops. Not all talent was airborne. Topangan Diane Shields sang harmony with her daughter, singer/songwriter Justine Kragen of Vermouth; tap dancer Jason Rodgers burned up the floor; and even a sword swallower, Brett Loudermilk was the real thing (Ooh, I cant look!). Youve got to see it to believe it! And love it!
