In our last issue, Vol. 36, No. 10, with the January 12, 1942, Life Magazine cover photo by photojournalist Peter Stackpole as our cover, the credit should have read “Courtesy of Life Picture Collection.” Although the Center for Creative Photography (CCP) does have the Peter Stackpole Archive in its collections, Life Magazine covers are owned by Life Picture Collection, not CCP. We have corrected the error online and thank both the Center and the director of the Life Picture Collection for their understanding and generosity in assisting us along the mystifying path of copyright licensing.
