Messenger “Gets It” versus Other Publications

Dear Editor:

Thanks for including Kim Zanti’s article about me and the bike shop in last week’s Messenger (see Messenger, “Novel Ideas Build Community at Topanga Creek Bicycles,” Vol 36, No 09, [May 3, 2012]).

I was really excited with Kim’s writing and the article. Because we had the bike shop in Hollywood, we have had many features written about us over the years including small bits in the Wall Street Journal, Guardian, Fortune Magazine, LA Times and many more, and no one previously captured the essence of what we do as well as Kim has and been able to put it on paper. Please hold 20-25 copies so I can buy them for my family in upstate New York.

Funny, she wrote about Topanga having incredible creative people like Rebecca Catterall (ceramic artist) and Jennifer Babcock (graphic design), and she missed herself and the crew at the Messenger.
