A Slice of Heaven: Spring 2012

Spring came in stormy this year, after a record-breaking winter and the planets are rocking, again. Anyone born in the middle of any month, between the 12th and 18th is going to feel a strong pull to make major changes in their lives. And everybody else, watch out!

Between now and June, Mercury (thinking), Venus (relating) and Mars (assertiveness) all change directions at critical degrees of Gemini, Virgo and Pisces. All in aspect to the Galactic center in Sagittarius.

What does it mean? Consider it a major attitude adjustment, a push towards one’s true purpose for being here. And there’s a bit of urgency behind it. These are the times we’ve been waiting for, there is no holding back. Try not to stand on your own foot, and be as adaptable as you possibly can.

Mar 19 10:15 p.m. Sun enters Aries – Spring Equinox:

The chart shows much dreamy water energy. It’s an emotional, instinctive time with a grand earth trine that provides grounding and a firm connection to nature. Focus on stability, resourcefulness and human connectivity. Venus and Jupiter in Taurus desire personal comfort, mutually beneficial solutions and values a cleaner, greener world.

Mar 22 – New Moon in Aries:

Along with Mercury retrograde and Uranus at 2° Aries it has a restless, antsy quality, that comes with cutting-edge, brilliant ideas. Initiate new projects now. A cosmic reminder to do your thing!

Mar 24 – Sun conjunct Uranus:

Good for Aha experiences, wake up calls and for breaking out of limiting circumstances. Free yourself!  

Mar 29 – Sun square Pluto:

This aspect challenges your personal boundaries. Good for going to the edge, and then some…. 

Apr 3 – Venus enters Gemini:

Due to the retrograde cycle Venus will stay here until Aug 7. Provides ample opportunity to diversify, change one’s mind, expand horizons, experiment and enjoy new tactile and creative experiences.

Comes with opposites that attract one another, duality, polarity, curiosity and exploration. Enjoy! 

Apr 4 – Mercury SD, (stations direct):

Here is another turning point, in aspect to the galactic center. Excellent for looking at the big picture and for sudden insights and revelations. Keep your notepad handy.  

Apr 6 Full moon 10:17 p.m., – Venus square Mars:

A fine time for re-inventing your relationships. Venus and Mars, the cosmic couple, are facing off in the mercurial realm of Gemini and Virgo. Make sure all of your fears, needs and desires are on the table, being addressed, processed and talked about..

Apr 13 – Mars SD (stations direct):

It’s being introspective in the hard-working, analytical sign of Virgo since January. Now it’s time to make things happen. No more holding back, at all, the truth will out. Amplifies your creative expression and supports meaningful service of any kind.

Apr 15 – Sun opposes Saturn:

Comes with tension, frustration and provides a reality check. The CPAs, who do this every year, will feel more pressure than usual. Try to slow down. Methodical is better these days than pushing it.

Apr 16 – Mercury enters Aries:

Speeds up the thinking process. We want to see the forest, not the trees and have no patience for silliness.

Apr 19 – Sun enters Taurus:

A fine time to remember the body and be nice to yourself and each other. Creature comforts rule!

Apr 21 12:08 a.m. – New Moon in Taurus:

Reconnect with mother earth. Good for going inward to prioritize what matters most. Enjoy some quiet time in nature.

Apr 23 – Sun trines Mars:

Brings on feats of courage and daring. Check the news for heroes. You can also get a lot done this week, especially if you’re an earth sign.

Apr 29 – Sun trines Pluto:

Provides inner strength, power and resiliency. Also deep insights.

May 5 8:30 p.m. – Full Moon in Scorpio:

There will be plenty of magic and passion, but with Mercury in opposition to Saturn it’s best not to talk about it.  

May 8 – Mercury enters Taurus:

A time to meditate and slow down. 

May 13 – Sun conjunct Jupiter:

Comes with generosity and kindness, and new, large scale perspectives.

May 15 – Venus SR (stations retrograde):

In opposition to the galactic center. Everything that’s out of alignment with your higher purpose will be challenged at this time.

May 16 – Mars trine Pluto:

Another fine day to be courageous and bold. Do not censor or limit yourself. Good for influencing large crowds of people.

May 20 4:47 p.m. – New Moon in Taurus:

What does your body need? Be kind, wise and generous with yourself, it’s the only one you got.

May 21 – Mercury conjunct Jupiter:

A fine time for deep thoughts and insights. Good for correspondence and studies. Get the word out.

May 23 – Sun square Neptune:

If you have the luxury of entertaining illusions, here is the “Oops!” opportunity for wake up call.

May 24 – Mercury enters Gemini:

Adds a nice, happy go lucky influence to the Memorial Day weekend.

May 27 – Sun conjunct Mercury:

Amps up the inner, mental chatter. Make sure you’re tired in the evening, or be prepared for insomnia.

Jun 1 – Mercury conjunct Venus:

Provides a short circuit between the head and the heart, which makes it difficult to focus on a task. If you are shopping, stick to your list.

Jun 4 – New Moon Eclipse at 4:12 a.m.: 

Eclipses are emotional times, and in Gemini can be edgy, twisted. Potential for high weirdness as Neptune SR (Stations retrograde) in Pisces.

Jun 7 – Sun square Mars:

Today there is plenty of tension going around, may give rise to intolerance and bullying. Practice your de-escalation skills.

Jun 11 – Jupiter enters Gemini:

Good for widening horizons, diversifying, lighten up and much needed sense of humor.

Jun 19 – New Moon Eclipse at 8:02 a.m.:

In the last degrees of Gemini this brings desire for completion, along with tension and polarization. It’s all about getting to the next level.

Jun 20 – Sun enters Cancer / Summer Solstice at 4:09 p.m.
