Memorial to Celebrate Heidi Helen Davis

PHOTO BY MICHELLE GILLETTE Heidi Helen Davis, who died in December, 2011 at age 60, following a yearlong struggle with breast cancer, will be remembered as friends and family celebrate her life on Sunday, April 29 at the Theatricum.

The Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum will host a memorial celebration for director, teacher and actress Heidi Helen Davis on Sunday, April 29 at 12 p.m.

Theatricum Botanicum invites Heidi’s friends and family to join together for an afternoon of sharing and to celebrate her life. Davis died last December at age 60 following a year-long struggle with breast cancer.

In her final days, Heidi said, “Breaking bread is one of the most intimate things people can do together. Please ask everyone to bring a dish that is meaningful to them. Something that is their specialty, or maybe handed down in their family.”

Guests who would like to attend should bring a dish or drinks to share that does not require heating or refrigeration, and should RSVP to memorialheidi@gmail.com so that the meal can be coordinated. Paper goods will be supplied.

In lieu of flowers, Heidi requested that donations be sent to Theatricum Botanicum. It was her wish that the funds be dedicated to mentoring the next generation of theater artists. As a person of mixed race, she strongly endorsed Theatricum’s mission to expose all races to the great works.
