Purémedy — Organic Skin Healing Salves

A new shop in town, Purémedy (pronounced Pure Remedy), opens its doors tomorrow, Friday, October 21, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. It began as a cottage business in the Canyon that grew into a viable player in the organic skin-care marketplace over the last four years.

Purémedy — Organic Skin Healing Salves

Purémedy owner, Joni Seigel, opens her new skin care shop at the Topanga Center with a Grand Opening celebration on Friday, October 21 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“It’s more than just another skin healing salve, it is the ‘real stuff,’” says entrepreneur and owner Joan Siegel, who is offering 25 percent off all Purémedy products, free samples and hand-crafted bronze custom jewelry by a Topanga artist during the Grand Opening day.

Purémedy is a homeopathic remedy. “Although all of our results have been documented with testimonials and personal results,” she cautions, “Purémedy is not a medical drug and has not been proven to, nor is it intended to treat, diagnose, prevent or cure any disease.”

“It was created in the deepest forests of Canada by an indigenous shamanic medicine man over 160 years ago, says Siegel. “It’s a family remedy that has been passed down through many generations, created for my great grandfather by the tribal elder after he fell into a campfire. His third-degree burn and pursuant infection were perfectly healed – without a scar – by using this ʻmiracle salve.’ Since then, it has been used for everything from wound healing and first aid to eczema and nail fungus.

“The ingredients are anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-viral, anti-yeast and anti- inflammatory, and can be used for cuts, burns, skin infections, fever blisters, blemishes, cold sores, canker sores, scars, rashes, dry skin, boils, ingrown hairs, insect bites and so much more. In fact, it is so multi-purpose that many use Purémedy as a night cream to unclog skin pores and help reduce the appearance of fine lines.”

According to Siegel, Purémedy utilizes three different types of tree saps that “in an independent, in-vitro laboratory study, it was clinically proven to kill more than 99 percent of the MRSA bacteria, staph and other microorganisms in just 30 minutes,” she says. “Purémedyʼs Original Drawing Salve increases blood circulation to the affected area, which encourages the growth of new skin, at the same time killing bacteria.”

Using only the highest quality organic or wild harvested ingredients, Purémedy is of the earth and 100 percent natural, she says, adding that it is quickly gaining worldwide acceptance among doctors, health practitioners and consumers. Purémedy Original Drawing Salve is available in a one-ounce size for $14.95 and two ounces for $26.95.
