Shop early, shop often at Topanga Canyon Gallery's annual holiday show, "Gift of Art," November 23 through January 10, 2010.
Local artists are working feverishly to prepare a cornucopia of "gift possibilities you absolutely will not find anywhere else," vows Felice Willat, co-chair of the exhibit. "Here, you will find presents your relatives and friends will treasure and display proudly for years."
Among the offerings are the popular "$50 Wall" of original six-by-six-inch art, as well as a spectacular array of paintings, custom jewelry, sculpture, art glass and ceramics, all created by our select group of area artists."
The opening reception is set for Saturday, December 5, from 5 to 8 p.m., when the gallery will join Pine Tree Circle merchants in a special "Holiday 10% Off Sale" during the weekend. A second reception is scheduled for Sunday, December 20, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Beginning December 1, Gallery hours will be Tuesdays to Saturdays 10 a.m. to 6 pm and Sundays 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For added convenience, the Gallery will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, December 21.
Open Juried Show Entry Deadline Extended
The deadline to enter TCG's 9th Annual 2010 Juried Open Exhibit, has been extended to November 21, reports Rebecca Andrews, event chair.
"We want to give everyone a shot at being part of one of the area's most prestigious art events. This year, our juror is Peter Mays, the highly respected Executive Director of the Los Angeles Art Association (LAAA) and its Gallery 825."
