Topanga resident and ceramic artist Teri Hannigan won third place in the eighth annual Southern California Open Regional Exhibition (SCORE VIII), showing now through January 31 at VIVA Gallery 13261 Moorpark Avenue in Sherman Oaks.

Hannigan took third place with a $200 cash award for “My Creative Mojo: A Trio of Autobiographic Sculptures on Creativity.” Her piece, “No Use Crying” was also accepted into the exhibition.
First place went to Lani Emanuel for her painting “Boxers.” Second place went to Grace Swanson for her painting “Amaryllis Tang.”
This prestigious regional competition was open to all Southern California artists, working in all media (except video and film). The exhibition was juried by artist and critic Diane Calder, a member of the International Association of Art Critics, who writes reviews, mainly for ArtScene, a monthy magazine and online source featuring work shown in and around Southern California. A total of $1,000 in cash was awarded.
