The Topanga Messenger has been the staff-owned, independent newspaper of record covering the news and arts of the Santa Monica Mountains for Topanga Canyon and adjacent communities since 1976.

The current print edition of the Topanga Messenger newspaper is available for sale at Topanga Creek General Store, Fernwood Market, and Country Natural; and in vending machines: in Topanga--in front of the Post Office, Pine Tree Circle, the Messenger office in Topanga Center, and Pat's Topanga Grill; on Pacific Coast Highway--in front of Cholada; in Woodland Hills at Henry's Market, Whole Foods, and Label's Tables.
