Mountains Restoration Trust (MRT) understands that part of environmental safety is also protecting those that enjoy the outdoors. MRT is holding a rattlesnake aversion training class for dogs, Saturday, August 7, and Sunday, August 8, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This is an opportunity to protect dogs and their owners from the potential dangers of the hot summer months. Highly qualified and experienced trainers and handlers will teach dogs to associate the smell of a rattlesnake with correction. By doing so, a dog's avoidance behavior may also alert their owner to danger that otherwise may have caused trouble. Each one-on-one training session will last 30 minutes with each dog and costs $75. Space is limited so reservations are required. You can register online at www.mountainstrust.org or by calling (818) 591-1701, ext. 2.
Mountains Restoration Trust is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, a California public benefit corporation to preserve and enhance the natural resources of the Santa Monica Mountains.
