Display ad deadline is Monday of the week previous to publication at 4 p.m. Classified deadline is Thursday of the week previous to publication at noon.

PRODUCTION CHARGES:
Layout & computer time $25 per hour; $10 per photo, logo or grayscale art. One-time set-up fee charged for new ads based on size. All display accounts are due and payable within 30 days. Interest charges will be applied to past due balances at the rate of 1.5% per month. All new advertisers (or change of ownership) are required to prepay advertising until credit with the newspaper has been established. Payment must be by check or cash--credit cards are not accepted. Classified ads must be prepaid. There is a 25% extra charge on all rates for specific page placement.

TECHNICAL DETAILS:
Ad files may be submitted on CD or by e-mail to editor@topangamessenger.com. Please be sure to include a phone number in case of problems. We are now running Mac OS 10.4 and can receive files in the following formats: PDF (much preferred), Photoshop (jpg) and Quark 5 or 6. Photos and grayscale art require a 150 lpi half-tone screen. Non-PDF ads containing unscreened photos or grayscale art are not camera-ready. Also note that text created in Photoshop may not reproduce well. In ads submitted as other than PDFs, photos and grayscale art may need to be submitted as separate jpg or tif files, and be re-inserted into the text portion of the ad at the rates quoted above. Ads requiring special fonts must be submitted as PDF, and must use Post-script or True-Type fonts. Please call 455-1303 if you need further technical details. In order to insure accuracy, ad copy will not be accepted verbally. Ad copy submitted after deadline may be subject to a $25 late charge.
